Taiwan held its 2nd ‘International Conference for Military Education’

For the second year, hosted by the President of National Defense University, Taiwan Ministry of National Defence held its biggest ‘International Conference for Military Education – ICME’.

More than thirty international experts from 27 countries spoke in the conference which was held in Taiwan’s National Defence University during the period 24-27 July 2018.

The conference was divided into two parts; two day conference and two day visits.

Dr. TSAI Ing-wen President of Taiwan welcomed all international experts in her Presidential Office, where the Senior international speaker (Lieutenant General. Jorge Fuentes Hernandez, Commandant of Honduras National Defence University) gave speech in behalf of all international speakers.

The four session conference discussed four main topics as next:
– Military Education;
Cooperation;
– Recruit Policy & National Security;
– Regional Security;

More than 30 speakers from 27 nations participated in 2nd ICME in Taiwan.

Major General (ret). Sayed Ghoneim, Chairman of Institute for Global Security & Defence Affairs (IGSDA) was the keynote speaker of the second day; he gave a lecture titled ‘Middle East Challenges and their Ramifications on East Asia’
