The South Korean Air Force’s Team “Black Eagles” performed an dynamic display at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition at Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, south of Seoul, at the opening of ADEX 2025.

South Korean fighter jets flew over Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and performed a stunning dynamic display at the opening of the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX) 2025. The event showcased South Korea’s latest defense technologies, including KAI’s KF-21 fighter jet, LAH and FA-50 aircraft, and the KUH-1 Surion helicopter.

A crowd of families, veterans, and defense officials watched as the aircraft created the Taegeuk emblem in the sky. Following the public exhibition, ADEX moves to KINTEX for business sessions, where major companies such as Hanwha, Hyundai Rotem, and LIG Nex1 will present new AI-powered defense systems ready for export.

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) held a special event on the sidelines of the Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX), under the title “EAGLES NIGHT”, where it showcased some of its most prominent defense solutions that are expected to attract significant attention during the October 2025 edition—the largest in the exhibition’s history. ADEX has firmly established itself as a global platform that reflects South Korea’s growing ambition to lead the aerospace and defense market across Asia and beyond.

The event was attended by a number of high-ranking military officials, representatives of leading defense companies, and official delegations from several participating countries, including Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Poland, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, and New Zealand.

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is recognized as one of Asia’s leading aerospace and defense companies, with a solid track record in developing military aircraft and advanced technological solutions in both manned and unmanned aviation. The company aims to position itself as a global provider of integrated air defense solutions by focusing on innovation, domestic development, and technology transfer to international markets. KAI continues to prioritize the expansion of its global partnerships—particularly with countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia—as part of its broader international growth strategy.

Launched in 1996 as the Seoul Airshow and expanded into a full-spectrum defense showcase in 2009, the Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX) has grown into one of Asia’s premier defense trade shows. Held every two years, it brings together military delegations, industry executives, and policymakers from across the world to exchange technology, strike deals, and signal national priorities.

This year, ADEX 2025 is expected to be the largest yet, with delegations from more than 35 nations and a record expansion of exhibition space. The pavilions will span everything from advanced fighter jets and missile defense systems to armored vehicles, drones, and satellite technologies. Beyond the displays, the event underscores South Korea’s ambition to establish itself as a global defense exporter and a central player in the shifting security dynamics of Northeast Asia.
